ENSLAVED Film Promotional Video For 'ISA'
October 30, 2004Norwegian extreme metallers ENSLAVED have shot a video for the title track of their upcoming CD, "ISA", due in Europe on November 8 via Tabu Recordings (February 7 in the U.S.). The video was directed by Asle Birkeland and "it really represents something new and exciting," the band write on their web site. "We're really happy!"
In other news, the band write that "ISA" has been out on the Norwegian market for a little over a week (released October 20),and "it is one hell of a feeling! We have received amazing reviews all the way, both here in Norway and abroad. We have allready done our first mini-tour for 'ISA'. In the usual non-compromising ENSLAVED way we did the complete album before most of the crowd had the time to listen through it. Through these four gigs in Norway we experienced an enormous response. Thanks to everybody who showed up! And of course a big thank you to everybody contributing to making 'ISA' into the album it turned out to be!"
ENSLAVED are working "24/7" on setting up a European tour in support of "ISA", which looks to be starting on February 9, according to a posting on the group's web site.
The follow-up to last year's "Below the Lights", "ISA" was recorded at Grieghallen Studios (last two ENSLAVED albums, MAYHEM, EMPEROR) with the production power-trio of Jørgen "Sir Duperman" Træen, Eirik "Pytten" Hundvin and ENSLAVED. Mixing duties were handled at Duper Studios (last two ENSLAVED albums, KAIZERS ORCHESTRA, JAGA JAZZIST) by Sir Duperman.
